THE ultimate romantic ballet will spin an unforgettable tale of innocence, love, betrayal and madness in Colwyn Bay.
The Vienna Festival Ballet (VFB) will bring 38 years of excellence to it's upcoming presentation 19th century French masterpiece Giselle at Theatr Colwyn this May.
With music by one of the 19th century’s best composers, Adolphe Adam, and choreography by the late Nicholas Beriosoff, VFB’s traditional staging of this 1841 masterpiece will take the audience from the sunny optimism of Giselle’s idyllic village life to an ethereal world of mystery and menace through remarkable movement.
The story, in two acts, follows Giselle, a peasant girl, who has fallen in love with Count Albrecht, who has told her he is a villager named Loys.
Her discovery of his true identity has devastating consequences.
With its irresistible combination of a heart-breaking narrative and exquisite choreography, Giselle is the perfect way to discover classical ballet.
The Vienna Festival Ballet will take to the Theatr Colwyn Stage on Wednesday, May 8 at 7.30pm.
Tickets are £21, with concessions available. to book visit theatrcolwyn.co.uk or call the box office on 01492 556677.
