A RHOS-on-Sea teenager is helping the UK Government examine the issue of body image.
Zacchaeus Richard Hayward, 14, is Vice Chair of the Conwy Youth Council and is among the eleven members of the member of The Youth Select Committee, a British Youth Council initiative, supported by the House of Commons, which takes evidence in public and has its proceedings televised and recorded in Hansard.
The Youth Select Committee looked into body image following a poll by 1 million young people into their top ten issues.
Just like UK Parliament Select Committees, the Youth Select Committee will produce a report based on its findings, which will be sent to the Government for comment.
The committee heard evidence from experts including bloggers, social media companies, academics, teachers, mental health professionalsinside a Committee Room at the Houses of Parliament which is usually used by MPs.
