A mainstay of Llandudno’s high street has closed its doors for the last time after more than 80 years.
The planned closure of Marks & Spencer satellite store on Mostyn Street marks the first step in the Clothing, Home and Food retailers eventual move to a new premises at the Parc Llandudno retail park.
As part of the store’s closing, its staff, menswear and childrenswear departments all redeployed to the main store 100 yards away.
The Pioneer reported in November of the plans, with Marks’ executives due to submit a planning application for the new outlet later this year.
The remaining Mostyn Street store will then eventually close in line with the new store opening, and no job losses are expected in the move.
