SNOW has caused the closure of more than 50 schools in the Conwy county.
Easterly winds nicknamed "the beast from the east" has resulted in cold and wintry conditions in North Wales this morning.
Snow has been falling consistently and looks set to continue.
Heavy snow has resulted in the closure of most schools across the county with a full list available at http://www.conwy.gov.uk/en/Resident/Education-and-Families/School-Closures.aspx.
The Met Office believes snow showers will continue tonight with some accumulation likely before conditions become drier at dawn with clearer skies expected. Temperatures are also expected to plummet below zero as well.
