ONE of the UK's "biggest" retailers for electronics has gone into administration.
Maplin - who have thousands of employees across the UK and more than 200 stores in the UK and Ireland - has shops in Llandudno and Wrexham. The retailer joins Toys R Us toy giant who also entered administration today.
It is understood that Maplin's high street chains have been affected by lower consumer spending, higher inflation and competition from online rivals.
The retailer has been approached for comment.
