AN EYE catching cabaret like no other will heat things up in Llandudno this summer.

The Lady Boys of Bangkok return to Venue Cymru as part of their 20th ninth month tour of the UK as part of their Wonder Woman Tour on Tuesday, June 26.

The show, which celebrates the Thai tradition was created for a one off appearance at the Edinburgh Festival in 1998, and has established itself in the West as a cult hit cabaret which has been seen by more than 2.5 million people.

The show was introduced to the UK by Gadney World Class productions, who brought the Chinese State Circus to British audiences, the Lady Boys of Bangkok features sixteen male Thai nationals who happen to perform in the guise of women in jaw dropping outfits.

For those who may be unsure what to expect, be prepared to be dazzled by colourful choreographed dance routines, over 400 spectacular sequined costumes, lashings of cheeky humour and and plenty of laughs in a simply stunning two hour show.

Befitting the show's moniker of Wonder Woman, the Lady Boys will celebrate 20 years in style with homages to iconic performers Cher, Lady Gaga, Diana Ross,Shirley Bassey and, of course, Wonder Woman herself . Mary Poppins may even make an appearance.

Joining the Thai performers is Trevor Jones, a regular sidekick of Peter Kay and an actor in the original Star Wars trilogy, as the only non-Thai cast member.
