Clwyd West Assembly Member, Darren Millar, visited the newly refurbished Colwyn Bay train station last Friday.
Arriva Trains Wales invested more than £500,000 into the station following calls for improvement from Mr Millar after a visit two years ago.
He said he was extremely impressed by the works that had been done.
Mr Millar said: “For people arriving in Colwyn Bay by train, the station is the first thing they see. First impressions count and if we want to ensure that visitors return to the area, it is essential that we have a welcoming gateway into the town.
“Passengers and staff are now able to enjoy a newly refurbished ticket office, improved disabled access, electronic mobile ticketing services, new bathrooms and a much improved waiting room. Also a new cafe will be coming to the station in coming months.
“I would like to thank Arriva Trains Wales for investing so heavily to improve the passenger experience.”
