TENANTS at Llandudno’s Tan y Fron extra care housing scheme picked up a wide range of technology tips last week, at a workshop provided by the Barclays Bank Digital eagles team.
Barclays community bankers Rhys Scarll and Josh Jones visited the scheme to give one-to-one support for tenants with digital technology concerns.
Louise Blackwell, community development officer for Clwyd Alyn Housing Association which manages the scheme, said: “It was a really useful session, and we appreciate how both Rhys and Josh gave friendly, practical assistance to each of the tenants, whether they are at the beginning of their digital journey, or whether they were building on existing skills”.
She added: “There was some especially useful advice about how tenants can stay safe and avoid scams, both online and via telephone calls. Several of the tenants had been targeted in this way and the guidance given at the session was really helpful”.
