TRIBUTES have been paid to a kind and caring "computer genius" who died following a crash between a motorcycle and a car on bank holiday Monday.

Andrew Tunnicliff, 53, was originally from the Stoke-on-Trent area but lived in Warrington.

The crash happened just before 2pm on Monday, on the A470 Roman Bridge between Betws y Coed and Blaenau Ffestiniog.

In a statement, the family said: "Andy was a loving partner, son, brother and uncle. He was a kind, loving, caring, a clever man, a big Port Vale supporter and a computer genius.

"Andy will be greatly missed by all."

The investigation into the crash, which involved a Fiat 500, is ongoing.

Mr Tunnicliff was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sergeant Anja Macleod, of the Roads Policing Unit said, said: "Our thoughts remain with Mr Tunnicliff’s family at this sad time.

"We continue to appeal for any witnesses or to anybody who may have been travelling along the A470 at the time of the collision and who may have dash cam footage to contact us."
