A DISPLAY of exhibition standard model ships and lifeboats is to go on show at Llandudno lifeboat house.

The exhibits, built by local model engineering enthusiasts, can be seen on Sunday August 12.

Amongst the exhibits will be a detailed scale model of Llandudno's now retired Mersey-class lifeboat: Andy Pearce. This model was built by the RNLI station treasurer for the past 25 years, Arthur Barlow. It won First Prize at the National Model Engineering Exhibition and a Gold Medal at the Model Engineering Exhibition in London.

The visitor centre at the lifeboat house and model display will be open from 10.00am until 4.00pm. Admission is free, but donations to the RNLI can be made.
