A BLIND Betws-y-Coed author will be signing books and talking about his book and his struggle to write as a blind author during National Libraries Week.
James L Williams, aged 69, will speak at Llandudno library on Monday October 8, Llanrwst on Wednesday October 10 and Conwy on Thursday 11 October.
He has published a crime thriller entitled Ghostly Witnesses and is currently working on a sequel.
His brother Geoffrey who lives in Abergele, said: “James has struggled hard to overcome the problems he has faced as a blind author, but information technology developments have helped enormously.
“Testament to his commitment is the fact his first work has proved popular and has received very encouraging reviews."
Geoffrey added: “One reviewer wrote: What a delightful feel-good story. One of the most quirky, strange but thoroughly enjoyable books I’ve read this year. Another commented: Last night was no exception, when I started reading Ghostly Witnesses I finally turned off the bed-side light at 3.00am in the morning and cannot remember when I last read a book from cover to cover.
“A lot of readers have told me they are looking forward to his next book in what we hope will become a continuing series.”
