A 49-year-old man accused of a two-finger gesture to a neighbour watering her plants at a window was told by a judge it was an “extremely immature” act.
Symion Tyson, of Ffordd Melin Dulas, Llanddulas, admitted making an obscene hand gesture when banned by a restraining order imposed for harassment.
Prosecutor James Neary said at Llandudno court the victim felt vulnerable when using a communal area at her housing complex.
Tyson had been helping his wife in their car and the brief offensive act was recorded on CCTV.
District judge Gwyn Jones told Tyson: "This was an extremely immature act on your part which has had some significant impact on the victim.” A £220 fine was imposed plus £150 costs.
Donald Roberts, defending, said the defendant’s wife was disabled and felt she was being monitored getting in and out of the car in the parking bay at the housing association complex.
The gesture lasted about half a second. “Please treat it as a very minor breach,” the solicitor urged the judge.
