A child has suffered injuries after being bitten by a dog in Deganwy.

The boy was riding his bike with his father on the path just past the signal box at Deganwy Railway Station towards the Quay when the child was bitten.

He was bitten by a brown doberman type dog as he cycled passed the animal and sustained an injury to his leg.

The incident took place on Saturday, September 15, at about 1.30pm and North Wales Police are now appealing for people to come forward with information on what they are saying was a "dangerous dog incident".

PC 2210 Janette Stott said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who saw the dog attacking the child.

"The dog was on a red lead and had a red collar. The woman walking the dog is described as being in her 40s, of slim build with long dark hair. She was wearing a blue hooded top with a sleeveless padded jacket over and dark leggings.”
