THE towering legacy of one of rock's greatest stars and the festive season will be wrapped up together in Colwyn Bay this year.

Still revered more than 50 years after his tragic and untimely death at just 22, the era defining music of Buddy Holly and the Crickets is coming to Theatr Colwyn on Monday, December 3.

This breathtaking show has rock ’n’ rolled audiences across the globe from Cardiff to California, Barking to Bangkok and Swindon to Sweden over its 26 years and stars some of the finest actor-musicians in the UK.

Holly’s hits, other contemporary classics and some Christmas crackers are all wrapped up in a fast, furious and funny feast of entertainment to make the perfect gift for all the family.

The show rarely pauses for breath and is, quite simply, the most compelling concert of its kind. The hits just keep on coming – That’ll Be The Day, Peggy Sue, Heartbeat, It Doesn’t Matter Anymore, Raining In My Heart, Oh Boy! – and much, much more.

The cast’s combined West End credits include Buddy, Lennon, Forbidden Planet and Jailhouse Rock and was endorsed as Britain’s most popular Buddy Holly act when the boys guested on BBC One’s Saturday night live programme, “The One and Only”, hosted by Graham Norton.

Simon Fielder, the show’s producer and a former actor in the original touring and West End show, said: “I’m so lucky to present shows that feature people and subjects about which I am really passionate.

“Buddy Holly was pivotal in my development as a guitarist and songwriter, his music has touched the heart of millions around the world and influenced many famous artists such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Brian May and many others.”

Whatever the season, whatever the excuse to party, make your Heartbeat a little faster at the Pavilion on Monday, December 3 at 7.30pm.
