Police are investigating after a sheep and dog fell to their deaths on the Great Orme today.
In a series of tweets Rob Taylor of the Rural Crime team said: "Tragic ending following yet another livestock attack on the Gt Orme"
"So sad for all concerned. Owners need to ensure collars fit properly do dogs can't escape, also have good recall when needed
Mr Taylor said:"This is the seventh separate attack this year on livestock and enquiries are currently ongoing"
"The possible consequences of both animals falling over the cliff onto the roadway are not worth thinking about...these avoidable incidents have to stop"
A Rural Crime Team spokesperson said on Twitter: "I have made the decision to publish the shocking picture of a livestock attack where both dog & sheep have ran off a cliff to their deaths, to educate all dog owners out there of the consequences..a very sad incident."
