LLANDUDNO’s all weather lifeboat, the William F Yates, has rescued a broken down 18 tonne fishing boat north of the Great Orme.
The lifeboat was called out by Holyhead Coastguards on Wednesday to go to the aid of the fishing boat and its three man crew. The Williams F Yates reached the 10 metre long fishing boat, located six miles off the Great Orme, within 15 minutes of being launched, established a line and towed the vessel to Beacons Jetty, Conwy.
The rescue happened exactly a year after the William F Yates came into service.
