THOUSANDS of foodies turned out for Conwy's annual feast event yesterday.

Conwy was "rammed" with visitors as the Gwledd Conwy Feast returned to the walled town.

The event, which arrived Friday night and is in its final day today (Sunday), acts as a celebration of food and drink as well as music, art and crafts.

As well as food halls, there is street food, demonstrations, a family cooking academy, wine tasting and activities for young feasties.

Dave Thomas, Pioneer photographer, said: "It was totally heaving all day, wherever I went. It seems as though it is a total crowd beater."

On Friday night and Saturday night, the event featured digital projections to mark 100 years since the first British women won the right to vote.

Today, visitors can mingle with artists, watch traditional crafters at work and young visitors can get crafty and create sea creatures from plastic bottles and waste, then take their fishy friends to join the parade.

The weekend will be rounded off with music from Menai Bridge Brass Band, Happy Jazz, Flux and The Wee Bag Band.
