A SERVICE of Commemoration and Dedication to mark the end of World War One will be held at the Church of St Catherine and St John the Baptist, Old Colwyn.

The service will start at 3.00pm on Sunday, November 4, and will be led by Canon D Quentin Bellamy. The Colwyn Male Voice choir will sing, and the Last Post will be played during the service, which the Lord Lieutenant of Clwyd, Mr Harry Featherstone, David Jones MP and civic dignitaries are expected to attend.

Names of the fallen from Old Colwyn will be read out during the service, and a plaque commemorating 23 of the fallen whose names do not appear on the War Memorial will be dedicated. The plaque will be affixed to the War Memorial on Friday November 9 in time for the Remembrance commemorations.
