STAFF at the O2 shop in Llandudno say they were "shocked" when a TV star popped into their store last week to get her phone fixed.

Denise Welch, famed for her role on daytime tv show Loose Women, paid a visit to the phone service provider's store on Friday, October 2.

The 60-year-old, who has also appeared in soap operas such as Coronation Street, Casualty and Waterloo Road, had reportedly stopped by to get her Iphone fixed before spending time chatting to customers and staff.

David McConnell, who works at the store, said: "Denise was very friendly and down to Earth. She spent a couple of hours here and chatted to customers and staff and even took pictures with them.

"I and a colleague recognised her immediately and didn't want to point her out at first as we didn't want to embarrass her, but she was a really nice person. She even took a picture with my mother in law who happened to be dropping some lunch off for me whilst Denise was here!"
