A WILD ride of guitar slinging virtuosity is set to depart from Llandudno this month.
Fresh from his critically acclaimed 2018 Edinburgh Fringe sell out stage, Nick Harper will grace the 3rd Space @ The Great Orme stage on Friday, November 16.
To call Harper a superlative singer songwriter could put his highly lauded guitar talent in the shade, and to call him a guitarist’s guitarist might slight his distinctive, soulful voice and passionate songs.
Not forgetting the dizzying thrill that is one of Harper's live shows – from personal introspection to biting political satire via a charmingly caustic wit that would make Groucho Marx proud. He also has the alarming ability to break guitar strings almost by sheer force of will, before changing them without missing a beat.
For over a decade, he has been dazzling audiences and reviewers alike with this heady mix of virtuosity, boyish charm, showmanship and sheer bravado.
Harper effortlessly segues from his own compositions to well-loved covers he makes his own including his own take on the likes of Elvis, Frank Zappa, Jeff Buckley, Led Zeppelin, Monty Python and even Public Enemy - yes, on an acoustic guitar.
Simply put, to miss this one would be a crime for any self respecting music fan.
To catch Harper, head to 3rd S pace on Friday, November 16 at 7pm.
Advance tickets are £12 and £14 on the door . To book visit http://3rdspace.wales.
