BAGGINS the missing cat has been reunited with his family following an appeal.

He was found safe and well following publicity on the North Wales Pioneer website last week.

His owner, Ceri Wilson, who lives on the Maes Derw estate, Llandudno Junction, said: “A lovely lady called Sandra telephoned us, to say she thought our cat might have been in her garage. We eventually found Baggins hiding in the far corner of her garage, under a chair which was obscured behind a brush and spade.

“Baggins was clearly stressed when we found him and it took a few minutes for him to accept we were real, then a while longer for his anxiety levels to calm down.

“He has not stopped purring since we found him. He is very clearly really overjoyed that he is home and once again reunited with us and we are too.

The coverage on the Pioneer website and social media presence led to his safe return home.

She added: “Baggins is a house cat, he is sweet, gentle. He has only had access to the back garden only and has no safety awareness of traffic, people or dogs, as he has never been outside the front door before. He was highly unlikely to find his way home on his own.”
