A taxi driver has been release from hospital after sustaining serious injuries following a road traffic collision in Colwyn Bay.
North Wales Police were called at about 11.45pm on Tuesday night to reports of a two-vehicle collision on the junction of Oak Drive and Kings Road involving a Black Hyundai and a Black Citroen.
The taxi driver, who was in the Citroen, was taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd by ambulance with serious injuries.
The driver of the Hyundai left the scene, however, following police enquiries she was later traced nearby and was arrested.
The 25-year-old Colwyn Bay woman was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, failing to stop, failing to report and providing a positive breath test but has since been released under investigation.
Enquiries are ongoing and police are still appealing for witnesses.
Anybody who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact officers at the roads policing unit on 101, quoting reference number W158918.
