DELAYS were caused after a car broke down on the A55 near Penmaenmawr.
The car ran out of fuel near the Penmaenbach headland this morning (Wednesday) at about 8.30am.
Traffic officers were forced to close lane two of the dual carriageway heading east, causing two miles of congestion.
The car was recovered about 45 minutes later and all lanes have since reopened.
Traffic Wales North & Mid Wales posted on twitter this morning: "Higher than normal levels of congestion this morning on the #A55 due to a broken down vehicle – Reason for the breakdown is that the vehicle ran out of fuel.
"This resulted in two miles worth of congestion.
"Please ensure your vehicle has enough fuel."
