THE darkening winter nights will be given the perfect musical accompaniment with the arrival of a triumvirate of hard hitting metal.

Congregation 1, the first in a series celebrating the dark musical forces will welcome Hecate Enthroned, Emissaries of Syn and Sleep Beggar to Llandudno on Saturday, December 1 for an extreme aural onslaught.

Organised by Emissaries bassist Mark Watson Jones, Congregation 1 is the latest in a long line of charitable fundraisers celebrating the diverse and vital underground scene throughout North Wales.

For this inaugural concert, Wrexham’s own Hecate Enthroned, will lead the pack with their thunderous rumbling, anguished cries, and symphonic requiems.

Formed in the mid 1990’s, they have released seven albums over the years, cementing their place in the ranks of British Black metal with their skilled musicianship and sheer epic scale to be regarded as true legends.

Support comes from social-political fury fuelled punk-metal crossover act Emissaries of Syn, who have also been bringing their message far beyond the town walls of Conwy across Europe and as far as Russia.

Completing this winter feast of the sense is Anglesey’s Sleep Beggar, back from a recent break with their distinctive industrial hip-hop and hardcore fusion to preach their heartfelt harsh melodies and more devastating than ever.

In the seasonal spirit of compassion, all proceeds from the event will be donated to Medical Aid for Palestinians.

Join the bands for one of the most thrilling line ups in North Wales' this Christmas at the Tabernacl in Llandudno on Saturday, December 1.

Advance tickets are available online for £8 from emissariesofsyn1.bandcamp.com/merch/hecate-enthroned-ticket, or are £10 on the door.
