TOURISM businesses across North Wales have been honoured at an awards ceremony at Llandudno’s Venue Cymru.

The 2018 Go North Wales Tourism Awards were organised by North Wales Tourism in partnership with Heart North Wales.

Jim Jones, North Wales Tourism’s managing director said the sheer volume and quality of entries this year underlined why the region was recognised as a world class destination, and which generates £3 billion annually and employs around 40,000 people.

He said: “In my eyes every nominee is a winner and all have played a part in what has been a successful year for North Wales Tourism.

Award winners included: the Armed Forces Day which attracted 100,000 people to Llandudno, Mostyn Museum of the Moon at Llawn, Chateau Rhianfa, in Menai Bridge, RibRide Adventure Boat Tours, Lawton and Lauriston Court Hotel, Llandudno and Dylan’s restaurant group.

The Welsh Minister for Culture, Tourism and Sport, Lord Dafydd Elis Thomas, said: “This was a fantastic opportunity for us to celebrate the best the North Wales tourism industry has to offer."
