CLASSIC creature features, a premiere and everyone's favourite Christmas movie are just a few of the delights at this year's Coastline Film Festival.

Colwyn Bay’s TAPE Community Music and Film brining the festival home to their Old Colwyn base for a three day celebration of the cinema experience from Friday, December 14.

Launching the 2018 programme is film maker Nathan Penlington, who will introduce his epic and emotional quest Choose Your Own Documentary at 7pm, where the audience will decide his fate from a choice of 1,500 paths.

The following day will see the Welsh premiere of A Northern Soul, complete with a Q&A with directors Sean Mcallister at 2pm, followed by the film that immortalised Macauley Culkin as Kevin Mcallister - no relation - in Home Alone.

Saturday's second double bill will begin at 7pm with the energetic and phenomenal journey of hip hop mogul James Lavelle in The Man from Mo Wax, followed by a second chaotic Christmas classic in the malevolently mischievous monster movie Gremlins.

The final day will see a screening of the incredible true story of Scottish factory workers who defied Chilean Dictator General Pinochet in Nae Parsan!, with mumblecore rom-com Super November and its director Douglas King capping off the event at 7pm.

The opportunity to relive classics Home Alone and Gremlins on the big screen by themselves should be enough to convince any self respecting cinephile to clear their diary, and with the unmissable opportunities to catch celluloid craftsmen in their element makes this year's festival a must.

All seats are £5, with Christmas screenings free of entry.

Tickets are available via the festival page on eventbrite.co.uk or by emailing coastline@tapemusicandfilm.co.uk.
