A former Llandudno-resident is set to return to the Venue Cymru stage for this year's pantomime.

Chris Bewsher grew up in Llandudno until he was 18 before moving to London to train in theatre. He has just graduated and has come straight back to where it all started in his first role since graduating.

Bewsher said: "I am really excited to be back in North Wales. The atmosphere is going to be so good.

"Just to be back here where I grew up and where it all started, where I started panto 11 years ago.

"My family and friends are going to come down and watch so it is going to be great."

He will play Prince Charming's - who is being played by The Wanted's Tom Parker - best friend Dandini.

Brewsher said he was excited to play alongside the pop star.

He said: "It's been fantastic to meet everyone and Tom is such a down to earth guy. It is the first panto he has ever done so he has loads of questions."

Although having grown up doing pantomimes all across North Wales, Brewsher said he has never done a Cinderella pantomime before and he said he was really excited to be finally taking up a part in the classic fairytale.

He said: "I absolutely love Peter Pan, it was my childhood dream to be able to fly but Cinderella is the original pantomime.

"When someone mentions pantomime everyone thinks of Cinderella - pumpkins turning into stage coaches and things like that.

"I've never done Cinderella before, this is my first time, so I'm really excited."

The Cinderella Pantomime will be showing at Venue Cymru from December 8 to 30.
