A FREE showing of the landmark Christmas film: It’s a Wonderful Life, will be screened in Cllr Julie Fallon’s Classic Movie club at Llanrhos Old School.
The film, which will be shown on Friday December 7, is considered one of the greatest films ever made. It was nominated for five Academy Awards, including Best Picture.
Cllr Fallon said: “I will be serving mince pies and mulled wine or hot drinks from 2pm. It is all free and open to everyone. The film has such a lovely atmosphere and is so welcoming, I really would recommend it to anybody who would like a happy afternoon.”
It's a Wonderful Life is a 1946 American Christmas fantasy comedy drama. It stars James Stewart as George Bailey, a man who has given up his dreams to help others, and whose imminent suicide on Christmas Eve brings about the intervention of his guardian angel, Clarence Odbody. Clarence shows George all the lives he has touched, and how different life in his local community of Bedford Falls would be if he had never been born.
