LLANDUDNO Rotarians recently heard a presentation on the life changing work of the Northern Cleft Foundation.

The Foundation exists to help bring hope to just a small fraction of the between 25,000 to 30,000 people a year in India who are born with either a cleft lip or a cleft palate

Rotarian spokesman Chris Drew said: "The Foundation sent a team of voluntary medics and ancillaries to India to perform life changing operations, mainly on children.

“The three speakers who made the presentation were part of an overall team of 60 who flew out to India last year, at their own expense, to work with the Rotary Club of Nagpur West on a week long 8am to 6pm clinic.”
