The Llandudno Rugby Club continued their unbeaten run this season with a comfortable away win against Bro Ffestiniog.

The win sees the Goats remain on top of the Swalec National League Division One North with eight wins from as many matches.

On Saturday, they travelled to Bro Ffestiniog to take on the Quarrymen.

The Goats during this first half failed to settle - with the forwards not being able to provide possession for there back division to use at pace.

This enabled the Quarrymen to take the lead going into half time with a converted try. But these were to be the only points for the home side.

The Goats came out firing after half time with the forwards securing more ball from the line outs and set plays.

This quickly began to take its toll on the home defence and on 48 minutes in which Llandudno were awarded a penalty - which was converted by Oscar Lennon giving them their first points of a second half scoring spree.

The match was very much a physical battle in the forward exchanges with the Goats beginning to come out on top and provide the much needed ball to win this encounter.

A telling break from just inside of there own half by Lennon spilt the home defensive, and it was his brother Arthur Lennon who was at hand to take the try scoring pass which his brother also converted after sixty minutes of play.

The forwards began to drive forward with ball in hand and it was from such a drive they took play just over the Bro twenty two line and were awarded another penalty near the posts, giving Oscar Lennon an easy two point conversion on seventy minutes.

Bro failed to put the Goats try line under any threat due to a strong defensive wall and it was on the 75th minute that the away side finally put the result beyond doubt.

Llandudno produced a telling burst from within their own half from their forwards and backs to allow prop Lewis Jones to crash over the try line with Oscar Lennon completing the scoring with the conversion.

The final score saw the Goats 13 point winners - 20 to 7.

Next Saturday the Goats return home to host Llangefni with a 2.30pm kick off.
