SUNDAY school members, plus teachers and parents, at Llandudno Welsh United Church have worked hard over the last few months collecting money and filling shoeboxes for children in less privileged countries.
Their effort raised almost £500 and crammed many shoeboxes with stocking fillers which will be distributed by the 'Teams4u' project
Hazel Elias, who co-ordinated the collection, said: ”We hope these efforts will bring Christmas cheer and happiness to these children overseas. We’ve certainly had a lot of fun collecting for the shoeboxes and filling them.”
It is more than 25 years since the idea of the Christmas Shoebox originated, asking children in the UK to fill shoeboxes with stocking fillers for Romanian orphans.
