THE founder of a Llandudno estate agency and leading Rotarian died last week.
Bryan Davies, aged 85, leaves a widow, Dorothy and two sons Sean and Tim, Paul, the eldest son, died some years ago. He founded the estate agents which bears his name in 1973.
He was president of Llandudno Rotary Club in 1978 and 79 and was awarded the prestigious Paul Harris Fellowship in 2002 in recognition of his service to the Rotary movement. He became a Rotarian in 1966.
Bryan’s interests extended well beyond Rotary. He is a past captain, chairman and president and life member of Maesdu Golf Club, a mainstay of the Victoria Club in Craig–y–Don.
Born in Llanrhos and schooled at Craig y Don Primary and then Rydal Penrhos school, Bryan lived all his life in Llandudno, save for two years National Service and for seven years in Canada in his twenties
Bryan’s golf was a great passion and he represented Wales in Rotary International golfing championships numerous times, including being Captain for Wales.
A spokesman for Llandudno Rotary club said: “Bryan’s cheery greeting, genial disposition and generous spirit will live on in the memories of so many of us.”
