AN ARMY bomb disposal team was called to Colwyn Bay beach today to make an explosive device safe.
A spokesman for North Wales Police said: “We were called in to assist the Army team, primarily to cordon off the area and ensure public safety. We understand the item has been made safe.”
It is understood the incident happened near Porth Eirias.
The army has been approached for comment.
