Kids tied up, beds on the street and buried on the beach - a Colwyn Bay man has taken the mischevious elf trend to a new level this Christmas.

Kev Goodwin decided last year to get in the Christmas spirit by posting an elf photo on his Facebook account for his three children - Sienna, Sebastian and Summer.

The photo was so popular that Mr Goodwin decided to run the "Bad Elf" photos, as he refers to them as, again this year, but on a daily basis.

He said: "I did one last year for the kids, just for a laugh and it took off. People were messaging me this year asking if I was going to do it again.

"The kids love it as well, they think it is cool."

To date the bad elves have buried him in the sand, tied up his kids, put their beds in the street and tried sending them to the North Pole.

Disney princess Elsa has even made an appearance, earlier this week, playing a part in the bad elves mischief.

Businesses in the area have even got involved with the Lox Box and Dreams both featuring in Mr Goodwin's bad elves photos.

He said: "I think up of the ideas on the day. The other day I was walking down the road and was looking into all the shops thinking how I could get them involved as well."

The bad elves have been a huge hit on social media with each picture getting more than 100 likes.

He even did a video for day eight which featured the popular children's song - baby shark.

The day eight video looked set to be the last one, after Mr Goodwin said it was the elves final request.

But after multiple shares and pleas on social media for the bad elf pictures to continue he obliged and the mischief has kept coming.

They have become so popular he said people have been coming up to him at work and asking if he is the elf man.

People have become invested in the bad elves posts from Mr Goodwin, keeping an eye on his Facebook page to see what they have been up to.

Looby Lou said: "I wake up every morning and the first thing do is check your post."

Barbara Winnett added: "So glad you are still doing this, it brightens up my day. I love it."

With only a few days to go until Christmas Mr Goodwin said he is unsure of what the climactic final picture is going to be on Christmas day.
