CHRISTMAS is a time for reflection: of the year past and the year to come.

In these uncertain times, I especially enjoy local events that show constancy and celebrate Christmas. It was a great pleasure to attend the Ty Gobaith and St. David’s Hospice carol service, as usual a lovely evening celebrating Christmas.

I shall be celebrating Christmas with my family. There are some of you who will be celebrating with new additions to the family, as new parents or new grandparents. There will be others for whom Christmas will be poignant, celebrating for the first time without a special family member, or they may have family who will be working, maybe for the emergency services or have volunteered for charitable works on Christmas day.

Do spare a thought for those people who, for whatever reason, are not with their loved ones on Christmas Day.

It only remains for me to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Nadolig Llawen a Blwyddyn Newydd Dda.
