AFTER another energising year as an Assembly Member, I reflect on the great privilege I have in serving the people of Aberconwy.

It has been a year of notable anniversaries, characterised by people working together. We have celebrated 60 years of our NHS, 100 of women’s suffrage and, witnessed a range of Armistice Remembrance events.

I have been delighted to see the people of Aberconwy celebrate our nation’s proud history of collaborative success, and hosting memorable events showing the constituency’s best face on the national stage.

It is this spirit of giving and cooperation, the very essence of Christmas, which gives me great confidence.

I hope you find occasion to remember the opportunities given to us through the sacrifice of others. In particular, I hope we can dedicate time to think of those keeping our emergency, health, care, hospitality, public transport, postal and spiritual houses open so we can spend time with our loved ones with peace of mind.

Please accept my warmest Christmas wishes to you and your loved ones – God bless.
