ST ELIAN’s Church, Llanelian-yn-Rhos will celebrate its patron saint’s day with a concert featuring a Ukelele Band and Côr Caerwys.
The concert, named Elian Night will be held in the church next Sunday, St Elian's Day, starting at 7.00pm.
Canon Quentin Bellamy, rector of St Elian’s, said: “The event is held annually in Llanelian and has always been great fun, and it isn’t restricted just to the residents of the village, everyone is welcome.
“Elian was a celtic saint who founded a church in North Wales around the year 450AD. The parish of Llanelian-yn-Rhos is named after him and close by the church is St Elian’s well.
"One folk tale says that he forbade people from keeping greyhounds, as one had killed a doe in his care."
