The North Wales Road Runners Club (NWRRC) will be hosting their first ever Nick Beer 1km Fun Run next month.

This new event will accompany the 27th annual Nick Beer 10km Road Race and will take place on Sunday, February 10.

The family event will take place on the Llandudno Promenade, following a route from the Imperial Hotel to the Cenotaph.

NWRRC Race Secretary, Kay Hatton, said everyone was welcome.

She said: “This fun run enables children who normally spectate to participate, adding to the fun and atmosphere.

“All the funds raised from the fun run will go to St David’s Hospice, a good local charity which many local people have benefitted from immensely.”

St David’s Hospice Conwy Area Fundraiser, James Wilde said: “The Nick Beer race has a fantastic history in Llandudno spanning more than a quarter of a century and we’re really happy to be involved in the first ever Nick Beer Fun Run.

“This means all members of the family can get involved and also raise funds and awareness for St David’s Hospice.”

The event, will be held on Sunday, February 10 at 11am. Entry costs £5. To enter go to www.nwrrc.co.uk and download the entry form.

Postal entries close on February 1st 2019.
