LLANDUDNO’s St David’s Hospice has received a donation of £1,500 from the Masonic Charitable Foundation

The presentation of the cheque was held at a special Christmas service at the Provincial Lodge in North Wales where David Gibbison, chairman of group 3 lodges and chapters handed the donation to Margaret Hollings, head of fundraising at the hospice.

Margaret Hollings said: “We are incredibly grateful for the continued support of The Masonic Foundation and for the loyalty of the provincial lodge locally. Without such continuous donations, St David’s Hospice would not exist.

Next year it will cost in excess of £3 million pounds to fund the hospice and our clinical services and only 14% of this figure will be provided by the local health board which means we have the enormous task of raising £2.5 million pounds through donations such as this one and the generosity of the communities we serve”.

The Masonic Charitable Foundation is funded entirely through the generosity of Freemasons and their families, and is one of the largest grant-making charities in the country.
