A man grabbed a cashier around the neck during an attempted robbery at a Llandudno Junction supermarket.

The offender was arrested following the incident at Iceland on Saturday, January 26, at about 5.40pm.

No money was taken and no one injured in the attempted robbery despite the offender grabbing the cashier around the neck from behind as the cashier opened the till - in an attempt to steal money from it.

DC 2935 James Stamatiou said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident and are particularly keen to speak to a man who was paying for items at the till at the time.”
