A PASSENGER is in a life-threatening condition following a police chase.
Officers from North Wales Police's Roads Policing Unit engaged in a vehicle pursuit during the early hours of this morning (Wednesday, February 6), resulting in a road traffic collision at Dolwyddelan on the A470.
A man who was driving the pursued vehicle has been arrested.
The passenger of the vehicle was taken to hospital where his condition is described as life threatening.
North Wales Police have mandatory referred the matter to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) for their consideration as to the subsequent investigation.
Temporary Detective Chief Inspector Tim Evans said: "Our thoughts are with the casualty at this time and we hope that he makes a full recovery.
"Legislation requires that in such matters, the IOPC are notified and this is not an indication of any wrongdoing by the Police.
"North Wales Police will further ensure ongoing welfare provision for those officers and staff involved."
