An award-winning Conwy restaurant has released an exclusive ‘Signature’ Gin to celebrate 10 years in the business.

Signatures restaurant are celebrating its 10 year milestone and have joined forces with Conwy Distillery - a new venture by chocolatier’s Mark and Emma Baravelli who own and run Baravelli’s in Conwy - to come up with a special branded gin, which is now available to buy and drink in their restaurant based at the Aberconwy Resort & Spa.

The holiday resort restaurant has been owned and managed by husband and wife team, Jimmy and Louise Williams, since the summer of 2009.

During their time in charge the restaurant has been given a Michelin recommendation, two AA rosettes and were also crowned winners of the Best Welsh Restaurant Award for two years running amongst a range of other prestigious awards.

The brand new ‘Signatures Gin’ was formulated in a joint collaboration between Conwy Distillery, and Signature’s Executive Chef, Jimmy and business partner Louise.

The Signatures Gin is a juniper forward dry gin with zesty citrus notes made in the traditional style of a Distilled London Dry Gin with no added sweetening agents.

Mr Williams said: “Our new Signatures Gin is a great way for us to celebrate the 10 year landmark. It was such a great experience working with Mark and Emma of Conwy Distillery to create this exclusive blend just for Signatures.

“It’s a brand new addition to our bar and will really compliment a range of dishes on our menus, so we’re both really pleased with the taste and we can’t wait for people to try it.

“We’re so excited about the upcoming year - we have so much planned and each event will be a night to remember. We aim to use local produce where possible and love promoting local businesses so of course we will continue to do so throughout our year of celebrations.”

On top of launching a brand new blend of gin, the pair have also got a range of exciting events planned throughout the year to keep the celebrations going all the way into 2020.

Their first event will be a ‘Butcher’s Block’ evening held by Edwards of Conwy’s Ieuan Edwards on Thursday 7th March 2019, with the official 10 year anniversary taking place on July 1st 2019.

Mrs Williams said: “We can’t believe it’s been 10 years since myself and Jimmy took on Signatures restaurant and we’re delighted to be celebrating this milestone anniversary.

“Over the years we’ve welcomed so many people to the restaurant and we can’t thank our loyal customers who continue to dine with us year after year and of course our hardworking staff for all of their continued support throughout these 10 years.”

Signatures Gin is now available to buy in the restaurant for £23.
