Endometriosis is a chronic gynaecological condition, affecting as many as 1 in 10.
Key symptoms can include painful periods, intense daily pelvic pain, chronic fatigue, bowel and bladder problems, back and leg ache and, for some, difficulty getting pregnant.
Sadly, because so many of these symptoms can be found with, or mistaken for, other conditions, diagnosis can take around nine years for those living in Wales.
For further information is available at the organisation’s website, www.ftww.co.uk.
