Two men have been jailed for a shoplifting spree involving thousands of pounds which involved stores at Mold, Kinmel Bay, Llandudno , Abergele and Llangefni.
It happened In January and February last year and Judge Huw Rees said at Caernarfon crown court it covered a wide geographical area with high value goods targeted.
They admitted a number of charges of theft or attempted theft, with Andrew Leigh Martin, 30, responsible for goods totalling £11,652 and 25-year-old Alexander Foster, £2,432. Items such as printer cartridges were selected and packed in bags lined with silver foil. Goods worth £7,439 had been recovered.
Judge Rees said three of the offences had been committed jointly.
Both had previous convictions and the judge said the reason for the offences was to pay off drug debts.
Martin, of Llugwy Road, Kinmel Bay, was jailed for 28 months and Foster, of Llys Heulog, Rhyl, for 18 months.
“These offences are too serious to consider any alternative to imprisonment,” said Judge Rees.
