AMATEUR players from Colwyn Bay and beyond are set to raise the roof this month.

PMA Theatre will presents the iconic Fiddler on the Roof at Theatr Colwyn for two nights from Friday, March 15.

The brainchild of Broadway legends Jerry Bock, Sheldon Harnick and Joseph Stein has been touching audiences worldwide since its debut in 1964.

Set in the village of Anatevka, the story centres on Tevye, a poor dairyman, and his five daughters. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instil them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Tsarist Russia.

Rich in historical and authentic ethnic detail, Fiddler On The Roof's universal theme of tradition cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality and religion, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter, joy and sadness.

Fiddler on the Roof will be at Theatr Colwyn on Friday, March 15 and Saturday 16 at 7pm, with a further Matinee performance at 2pm on Saturday.

Tickets are £10, to book visit theatrcolwyn.co.uk or call the box office on 01492 556677.
