Two Colwyn Bay residents have been arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs.

North Wales Police executed a warrant on Thursday, under the Misuse of Drugs Act, at an address in Colwyn Bay.

As a result a Colwyn Bay man and woman were arrested on suspicion of supplying of class A drugs.

A large quantity of what is believed to be class A drugs, and a quantity of cash were seized from the property.

Inspector Debbie Ratcliffe said: “Due to the information provided by the community we were able to act quickly to disrupt the activity.

“We want to reassure the people of Colwyn Bay that we are taking positive action. By conducting these warrants our aim is to cause disruption to the trade in illegal drugs across the area.

"We would like to thank the community for their assistance and support during the operation.

"We want to reassure people that we are taking this issue seriously and we will target individuals who persistently cause misery to local people and visitors to the area.”
