A SUSPECTED serial “upskirter” appeared in court accused of secretly filming a 15-year-old girl with a camera hidden in his shoe.

Magistrates at Llandudno heard the young woman was photographed. Prosecutor Gareth Parry said a large number of cases had been discovered following a 1940s festival at Colwyn Bay.

Kevin Bacchus, 64, of Balkwell Avenue, North Shields, was accused of five counts of outraging public decency by filming under skirts at an unknown location in 2015 and at Colwyn Bay last April. He is also charged with making indecent photographs between 2011 and April 2018 by taking 111 snaps of a child, and making two child porn images in the highest category of seriousness between 2007 and April 2018.

No pleas were indicated.

Mr Parry said the case should be heard at Caernarfon crown court. Alex Fitzgerald, defending, made no representations.

Bacchus was remanded on unconditional bail until April 15 at Caernarfon crown court.
