A former Welsh Rugby Union captain is coming to Colwyn Bay.

Recently retired Sam Warburton is coming to the Barn at Eirias Park on Wednesday, April 17 as part of the Huws Gray Giant Trade Event.

Warburton, who was also the most recent British and Irish Lions captain, will be attending the event along with more than 60 of the top names in DIY and construction and thousands of tradespeople and members of the public.

Huws Gray has more than 1800 employees and around 100 branches making it one of the largest independent builders’ merchants in the UK.

Dafydd Hughes, marketing manager, said the trade show is an opportunity to celebrate their success while giving account holders and visitors a platform to network and reward valued and loyal customers for their support over the years.

Mr Hughes said: “Eirias Park is the home of rugby in North Wales, it’s the perfect location for such a huge event and fitting that we have one of the country’s greatest ever players with us on the day to meet fans and help us to promote the industry.

“This event has been 18 months in the making and is set to be the biggest trade exhibition North Wales has ever seen.

“Over the last few years we’ve held smaller sales days at different branches across the region, but nothing like this, where hundreds of people will come together under one roof.”
