THE closing date for compositions for the National Eisteddfod,to be held in Llanrwst in August,is Monday April 1.

Entries must be sent through the post to the Eisteddfod office at Unit 15, Mold Business Park, Wrexham Road, Mold, CH7 1XP, for the composition competitions, and entrants also need to compete using a pseudonym, so that their real identity remains a secret from organisers and adjudicators.

The organisers will not accept email entries for composition entries.

Elen Elis, Eisteddfod organiser and artistic director, said: “With the closing date next week, it’s important that all work is posted in good time to reach the office by Monday April 1 at the latest. This is an exciting time of year, as we see the compositions arrive, and with the stage competitions deadline also fast approaching on Wednesday May 1.

Tickets go on sale on Wednesday May 1 and over the next few weeks, we’ll be announcing details of the shows and the line-ups for this year’s event.

The National Eisteddfod will be held from 3-10 August.
