THE honour for writing the best town council annual report in Wales has been awarded to Llanrwst.

The citation said: “The award recognises a council that has produced an informative annual report for its residents and the wider community outlining its work, achievements and aspirations.”

The town council also received a certificate of commendation acknowledging its new website as amongst the most outstanding and innovative within Welsh town and community councils, in terms of information provided and signposting to the work of the council itself and other local organisations.

Ross Morgan, town clerk, said: “A lot hard work by the council, both by members and officers, went into producing the 20 page log report.

“This was our first ever attempt at producing an annual report, and we are very pleased with our success.”
